A musing on the surreal qualities of the night. I originally wrote this during English class, way back in my senior year of high school, in response to a prompt from This I Believe. A friend of mine suggested sharing it, so here it is!

This is the extended essay I submitted back in 11th grade as part of the IB diploma programme. Although English wasn't my subject of choice, I'm still pretty satisfied with the outcome and hope that future IB students will find my essay to be a useful reference while researching and writing their own.
